This is an original 1946 Varga Girl Esquire calendar featuring pinup girl artwork by the master of the genre, Alberto Vargas.

This is a set of all 12 monthly calendar sheets each printed one side only and measuring about 12” x 8.5”. The plastic spiral binder that joined the calendar sheets together at the top and the blank cardboard backing piece have been removed and are not included so this lot is the 12 individual monthly calendar sheets and not the intact calendar. The lower left hand corner on each calendar sheet shows a 1945 copyright by Esquire, Inc. and is printed “Paintings By Varga Verses By Phil Stack”.

These vintage original monthly sheets comprise the entire Esquire Varga Girl calendar for 1946. The holes for the plastic binder along the top edge are broken but the calendar sheets are otherwise in excellent condition with just light handling wear and modest toning from age. The top edge could be trimmed slightly to remove the spiral binder holes or matted over if you wanted to frame these. Overall condition is very good.
