This beautiful Mid-Century travel poster features a stylized perspective of the Lion Gate entrance to the fortified Bronze Age citadel of Mycenae, the last surviving example of monumental Mycenaean sculpture. This structure is the only monument of Bronze Age Greece to bear an iconographic motif that survived without being buried underground. The artists is not identified but initials that look to be “IT” appear in the lower left hand corner of the image and the lower margin indicates “No. 23 – 5000 – 2.52 Published By The National Tourist Organization 30 Odos Omirou – Athens” and “Printed In Greece By Graphic Arts M. Pechlivanidis & Co. Athens."

This poster is very clean, was never hung and has no tape or pinholes and only modest handling wear. Overall condition is very good.
