This beautiful vintage original Japanese poster was issued to advertise an exhibition of items from the Japan Folk Crafts Museum at the Daimaru Department Store in Tokyo Japan that ran from May 13 to 18, 1960. Leading Japanese department stores served a dual role as important societal cultural hubs and hosted frequent arts and crafts exhibitions such as the one advertised on this poster. The poster depicts several objects of Mingei or Japanese folk arts & crafts items including ceramics, lacquered woodwork and more.
This vintage original poster is free or tape or pinholes and shows light handling wear and light creasing from having been folded originally. An ink handstamp is applied to the lower right corner. Overall condition is very good.
