This is a vintage original window card style poster printed one side only on cardboard for a performance by tenor George Shirley with the Oklahoma City Symphony Orchestra. George Shirley broke many boundaries during his long and distinguished career. He was the first African American music teacher in the Detroit Public School System, the first African American member of the U.S. Army Chorus and the first African American to receive a contract with New York’s prestigious Metropolitan Opera among other accomplishments. The lower margin indicates this window card poster was made by the Artcraft Litho. & Printing Co. of New York.

This vintage original Civil Rights Movement era poster shows some scuffing and rubbing but still displays well. Overall condition is good plus.
