This is a vintage original poster advertising an art exhibit by Canadian abstract artist Harold Town at the Sears Vincent Price Gallery of Fine Art located at 140 East Ontario Street in Chicago, Illinois. Actor Vincent Price had an arrangement with the Sears, Roebuck & Company to curate a selection of fine art which was sold through galleries in Sears department stores from 1962 to 1973. Harold Town was one of the artists represented and a founding member of the Toronto, Canada Artists Eleven group of abstract artists in the 1950s. This vintage original poster isn’t dated but gives the exhibition dates as Wednesday, January 25 to February 25 which would place this to 1967 as that is the only year when January 25 was a Wednesday during the 12 year span that Sears Vincent Price art galleries operated between 1962 and 1973.
This vintage original poster is in excellent, near mint condition.
