This is a vintage original poster for the 1967 John Magnuson directed documentary/concert film Lenny Bruce Performance Film which also had the alternate title of simply Lenny Bruce. This film featured influential comedian and social commentator Lenny Bruce in his second to last live performance recorded at Basin Street West in San Francisco in August 1965 and is recognized as Bruce’s only complete nightclub performance captured on film. During the performance Bruce read and responded to allegations made against him during his multiple ongoing obscenity trials. About a year after the performance Bruce would die of a drug overdose on August 3, 1966 and the film would be released in March 1967.
This vintage original poster has been folded into quarters and has multiple pinholes on the corners as well as some bumping, creasing and short tears on the edges. Overall condition is good.
