This vintage original silkscreen poster was issued by the Museum of the City of New York for an exhibit on the career of publicist, lyricist and librettist Howard Dietz titled Dancing In The Dark. Howard Dietz is most remembered today for his long songwriting collaboration with Arthur Schwartz. The title Dancing In The Dark is taken from the one of the duo's greatest hits featured their successful 1931 revue The Band Wagon. The bottom of the poster credits the design to Bryan Canniff. The poster isn’t dated but our research leads us to believe this exhibition ran at the Museum of the City of New York in 1972-1973.

This vintage original poster has no tape of pinholes. A slight trace of staining is visible on the left edge and the poster has a few scuffs or small scratches and light handling wear. Overall condition is otherwise very good.
