This vintage original propaganda poster of the Soviet Union was created by the Armenian artist Eduard Artsrunyan and printed in Moscow in 1976. This poster makes reference to the 25th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the October 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. The poster features a stylized image of Vladimir Lenin clutching a copy of the Pravda (Truth) newspaper with images of an idealized Modern Soviet Union appearing behind him in the form of space rockets, satellites, modern factory and office buildings, an electrical power station and more. Text on the poster translates roughly to:
The Achievements Of The Soviet People Are A Continuation Of The October Deeds, The Embodiment Of The Ideas Of The Great Lenin
This vintage original poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows moderate handling wear including some bumping to the edges in places and light creasing in the image area. This unrestored poster has a small notch off the top edge and a short tear of about two inches which could be easily fixed with basic linen backing (which we can provide for an additional cost). Overall condition is very good.
