This is a vintage original promotional poster for the DC-9 Twinjet aircraft issued by the McDonnell-Douglas Corporation in conjunction with the United States Bicentennial celebrations in 1976. This poster features the artwork of noted aviation artist Robert Grant Smith and depicts one of these airplanes flying over San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge with a caption that reads:
USA Bicentennial – See American in ’76. Ask your Travel Agent to book your aboard a DC-9 Twinjet.
This vintage original poster doesn’t appear to have even been hung up and has no tape or pinholes. The poster has light handling wear and is a bit bumped along the left edge near the upper left hand corner. Overall condition is very good.
