This vintage original pictorial map poster of Southern California was issued on the occasion of the 1981 bicentennial celebration for the City of Los Angeles.   The cartouche area of the poster in the lower right corner reads: 

The Historic Ranchos of Los Angeles Portrayed for California Federal in Commemoration of the City’s Bicentennial 1781 to 1981

The lower left corner shows a copyright and is imprinted “An Official Map of the Los Angeles Bicentennial” and the artist’s name “Boyle” is signed in print at the bottom of the image.  This map was also issued in a slightly smaller folded version but this is the larger rolled, never folded map.   This vintage original map is free of tape or pinholes and shows moderate handling wear including slight creases and some bumping to the edges in places.  There is a short tear of less than an inch without paper loss on the top edge near the upper right corner.  The original color is retained and overall condition is very good.
