This is a vintage original 1986 poster issued by WAND – Women’s Action For Nuclear Disarmament San Francisco. This poster features artwork and lettering done by children who are credited in the lower right corner as Adria Dobkin Age 4, Jesse Ann Cowan Age 5, Elizabeth McMunn Age 6 and Michael Howard Age 6. The poster also features a quote from Australian physician and anti-nuclear activist Helen M. Caldicott from Caldicott’s 1978 book Nuclear Madness: What You Can Do! The lower margin is printed with a 1986 copyright by WAND San Francisco so thus the date.
This vintage original poster is free or tape or pinholes and shows only light handling wear and a short quarter inch tear on the top edge. Overall condition is very good.
