This is a group of five original posters issued by the American Bar Association Division of Public Education as part of series on civil rights in 1991.   These posters are all uniform in size and feature major events and topics related to civil rights in the United States in the 20th century.

This lot includes the following image topics and text:

Women’s Suffrage – The Bill of Rights guarantees the right to assemble.  Otherwise, they might still be that one step behind.

Jim Crow Laws, Equal Protection and Segregation – The Fourteenth Amendment guarantees equal protection. Otherwise, separate might still be considered equal.

Freedom of Religion – The Bill of Rights guarantees religious freedom.  Otherwise, he wouldn’t have a prayer.

Freedom of Speech – The Bill of Rights guarantees freedom of speech.  Otherwise, it might all have been a dream.

Freedom of Speech – La Declaración de Derechos garantiza la Libertad de expression. De lo contrario todo sería solo un sueño. (same as previous except Spanish language text)

The two posters featuring images of Martin Luther King delivering his I Have a Dream speech during the 1963 March on Washington have a credit to UPI/Bettmann Newphotos printed on the right side.

All posters are vintage originals issued as part of a series by ABA in 1991 and all are printed one side only on slick paper.  These posters are free of tape or pinholes and look pretty well unused with just light handling wear.  A couple of the posters have a lightly bumped corner or edges lightly bumped in places.  Overall condition is very good for these vintage originals.
