This vintage original WWII poster was issued 1942 to help promote the sale of United States War Bonds and Stamps. A large American flag billows in the wind over text that reads BUY U.S. WAR SAVINGS BONDS & STAMPS NOW. A text box on the left side of the poster reads “We Can….We Will…We Must! Franklin D. Roosevelt”. This text box paraphrases FDR’s fireside chat of May 24, 1941 in which he said "I say that this can be done; it must be done; and it will be done" in reference to America supporting Great Britain against Nazi aggression.
This vintage original poster has pinholes on each corner, light handling wear and modest toning from age. Overall condition is very good.
