This vintage original c.1927 safety poster issued by the National Safety Council.   The lower margin is printed “General Series No. 2176-B”.  

This football themed poster relates to accident prevention goals and features the image of large powerful football player carrying the football past would be tacklers knocked asunder under text that reads HELP HIM CARRY IT OVER!  Each of the would be tacklers has a sign with messages like “Accidents” and “Horse Play” suggesting they represent the hazards in the workplace.   The bottom of the poster has space to record days without accidents and days on which accidents “intercepted the ball”.    

This vintage original poster isn’t dated but came with others dated to the mid to late 1920s and looks to be from that same c.1927 time period.  This poster is folded as issued and looks unused with no tape or pinholes and only light handling wear and modest toning from age.  Overall condition is very good.
