This is an original vintage c.1930s advertising poster for Swedish made Primus Stoves. Primus stoves were the first and are widely considered the best portable pressurized-burner stoves made and have been the stove of choice for Fridtjof Nansen's and Richard Byrd’s North Pole expeditions, Roald Amundsen's South Pole expedition and Sir Edmund Hillary's Everest expedition among others. This poster captures the elegant design of the Primus stove and the lower margin is printed “216 PRINTED IN SWEDEN” and “ANDERS BECKMAN/HÄLSINGBOROS LITOGRAFISKA AB.”
This poster is vintage original which I don’t believe was ever hung or used and has no tape of pinholes. There is a short tear of about 1 cm at the lower edge and some toning from age, a couple minor spots and light handling wear. Overall condition is very good.
