This vintage original and rare WWII poster was issued by the National Noise Abatement Council.  We find no date on the poster but the National Noise Abatement Council was founded in 1940 and continued to operate for the duration of WWII.  This poster features a patriotic Uncle Sam figure holding a finger up to his lip as if to ask for quiet along with text that reads: 

NOISE Is Our Enemy Too!  Noise wastes energy, dissipates manpower, slows war production – Stop Needless Noise 

The lower margin is printed “Produced and distributed by the National Noise Abatement Council”. 

This vintage original poster is folded as issued and shows light handling wear, modest toning from age and single neat pinhole on each of the upper corners.  There are two small pieces of brown paper library type paper on the back of the poster which do not show on the front side.  The original colors are well retained and overall condition is very good.  This is a rare poster as we haven’t found another example.   Overall condition is very good.
