This vintage original and rare poster WWII poster is one in a series sponsored by the International Harvester company to help promote the Victory Farm Volunteers program of the USDA Crops Corps. This poster features an image of a young lady driving an ambulance and another working a farm field with a red Farmall tractor bracketed by text that reads Both WORKING FOR VICTORY – NOW Farm Work is War Work! International Harvester. The lower left corner has a small text box that reads “Join the Farm Victory Volunteers – See Your Principal” suggesting this poster was issued for use in schools.
The Victory Farm Volunteers program aimed to recruit school age boys and girls aged 11 to 17 to work on farms stressed by the manpower demands of WWII. This poster shows light handling wear, some toning from age and a pinhole on each upper corner. The poster is free of tape and retains the original bold color. Overall condition is very good for this WWII era vintage original.
