This is a vintage original folding pictorial cartoon map of El Paso, Texas and the surrounding area issued by the El Paso Sunland Club.    This map measures about 7” x 5.25” folded and folds open to about 21” x 14” with the front cover titled Fun Map of El Paso – El Paso & the Southwest – Maps & Sightseeing Information.   The map folds open to reveal a pictorial map of the El Paso area and part of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico covering the entirety of one side.   The cartouche area of the map is titled: 

A Fun Map of El Paso, Texas – Sunshine Playground of the Border – 80% Sunshine - Mild, Dry Winters – Moderate, Pleasant Summers – Scores of Interesting Things to See and Do – Spend a Day or a Lifetime in El Paso

The verso of the map features the illustrated cover panel and a smaller inset map titled El Paso County and the Irrigated Valleys of the Rio Grande.  Also featured is another small inset map titled Fourteen Scenic Trips from El Paso Through The Sunny Southwest along with descriptive information for each of the 14 day trips.  

The only date reference we find on the map is an estimated El Paso population for 1945 suggesting the map was printed around that time and before official population figures were published for 1945.  This vintage original Fun Map of El Paso looks pretty well unused with just light handling and some modest toning from age.  Overall condition is excellent.
