This vintage original travel poster promoting the province of Granada was issued by the Spanish State Tourism Department in the late 1940s.   This poster features photography of Joaquin del Palacio who used the pseudonym Kindel.  The poster features a bird’s-eye view of one of the courtyard patios associated with the Andalusian architecture found throughout the south of Spain along with text that reads VISIT SPAIN IF YOU SEEK LIVELY AND LOVELY JOY.   The lower margin is printed “Published By The Spanish State Tourism Department” and “Foto: Kindel” and “Printed In Spain”.   Also printed in the lower margin is the document code “5.194.512” and “ARTE: BILBOA”.   

This poster isn’t dated but we find references to this poster dated as far as back as 1947.  This is a vintage original poster showing moderate handling wear and slight toning from age.   The back of the poster has a few dusty fingerprints and what looks like some residue from old tape that dried up and fell off a long time ago along the top edge, neither of which show on the front side of the poster.   The poster displays nicely and overall condition is very good.
