This vintage original poster was issued by the Southern Pacific Railroad in the late 1940s or early 1950s to advertise Crater Lake National Park in Oregon as a travel destination. The poster features an image of the park’s iconic Wizard Island volcanic cinder dome rising out of Crater Lake with the title Crater Lake On The Route Of The Streamlined “Shasta Daylight”. The poster isn’t dated but the Shasta Daylight service between Oakland and Vancouver was introduced by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1949 and we believe the .
This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and shows only light handling wear and a short tear of less than an inch on the bottom edge without loss of paper. Overall condition is very good.
