This is a vintage original travel poster was created by the artist Simon Greco and issued by Trans World Airlines in the early 1950s.  Greco’s work as a poster designer for TWA predates the more widely recognized work of David Klein who produced scores of posters for TWA in the 1950s and 1960s.  For this poster, Greco’s image is dominated by dressmaker’s form or mannequin paying homage to France’s position as a global leader in the fashion industry.   We also see grapes, the Eiffel Tower, a sidewalk café, the Alps, a French tricolor flag and even a seashell in a montage of images inviting the viewer to visit France.  A Lockhead Constellation or “Connie” as they were known flies by and Greco's name appears in the lower right corner of the image.

This vintage original poster has been professionally backed to linen with some small touch ups as needed including expert repair to a couple short tears on the edges.  The poster displays beautifully and overall condition is very good.
