This is a vintage original c.1950 Hysterical Map of Yellowstone National Park and the Jackson Hole, Wyoming area designed by Hjalmer “Jolly” Lindgren and published by the Lindgren Brothers of Spokane, Washington.   This is an elaborate cartoonish pictorial map and one of many so called “hysterical” maps mostly of national parks published by the Lindgren Brothers from the 1930s to 1950s.   This map of Yellowstone and Jackson Hole was published in a few different editions beginning in the mid 1930s.  This specimen has a reddish orange border printed with a wrap around title that reads: 

A HYSTERICAL MAP OF YELLOWSTONE PARK AND THE JACKSON HOLE COUNTRY SLIGHTLY COCKEYED

The lower right corner of the map indicate “Drawn In Broken English by Jolly Lindgren”.   This vintage original map has been professionally conservation mounted to linen with some expert touch up to wear on the fold lines.  The colors remain strong and overall condition is very good.
