This vintage original poster was issued by Braniff International Airways to promote Buenos Aires, Argentina as a travel destination. The image features an Argentine chef proudly showing a large platter of steak to an eager restaurant patron. The first prize blue ribbon on the steak underscores Argentina’s well-earned reputation as leading worldwide producer of very fine beef.
Braniff issued similar posters in a few different versions featuring first propeller airliners and then later jet airliners. This poster featuring prop aircraft would be the earlier versions issued in the 1950s before Braniff entered the Jet Age.
This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed and a tack hole on each corner has been expertly repaired and minor touchup applied as needed. The poster shows light handling wear and some toning on the margins. Overall condition is very good.
