This vintage original South African travel poster was issued in the 1950s and features a striking image of Ndebele girl with the title South Africa Land of Sunshine and Adventure.

The Ndebele people are a Nguni ethnolinguistic group indigenous to South Africa divided into two distinct groups, the Northern Ndebele that speak siNdebele and the Southern Ndebele people who speak isiNdebele.  The Ndebele people are known for their vibrant culture including colorful and elaborate clothing and beadwork aptly conveyed by this beautiful poster.  The lower margin indicates this poster was printed in London by the Haycock Press Ltd. and published and distributed free of charge by the South African Tourist Corporation.

This poster has been professionally linen backed and is in excellent condition with bold colors and minimal touchup.  Overall condition is very good.
