This is a vintage original jumbo size calendar sample featuring artwork by Arthur E. “Art” Frahm titled “First Day of School”. Frahm is most remembered as one of the more prolific pinup girl artists of the 1940s and 1950s but he also produced commercial illustration for calendars and other purposes that depicted Norman Rockwell like idealized scenes of everyday life in America.
This vintage original sample sheet would have been used to solicit advertising wall calendar orders and is printed with a 1950 copyright by C. Moss in the lower margin. This calendar sheet has two lateral folds as issued and is in very good condition overall with light handling wear.
