This vintage original poster was issued by the Hilton Hotels corporation to promote the newly opened Istanbul Hilton.   This poster isn’t dated but the artwork for the poster was also used in print advertising for the hotel when it opened in 1955 so we would date the poster to around that same c.1955 time period.   This poster features a Mid-Century Modern stylized view of the Istanbul Hilton and the nearby Blue Mosque under text that reads: 

In The Land Of The Blue Mosque The Istanbul Hilton 

The Istanbul Hilton was the first Hilton Hotel property opened outside of the Americas. The hotel is located in Istanbul’s Harbiye/Şişli neighborhood and is still in operation today as the luxury Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus.  The name of the artist, of whom we know little, is signed in printed as J. Hammer on the lower right side of the image area.   

This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed with minimal touchup to just two short tears without paper loss on the lower edge.  The poster showed some toning from age and light handling wear.   The original colors are retained and overall condition is very good.  

This is a rare poster as we locate no auction history or even a match of the image with a Google Lens image search.
