This vintage original and delightful Mid-Century poster was created by the artist Aaron Fine and issued by Pan American Airways in the late 1950s.   This poster is one of several created by Fine for Pan Am and features a ticket checker or “clippy” as they were known hanging jauntily from the back of one of London’s iconic red double-decker buses.   The ticket man’s right hand hangs on to the “O” In London in the poster’s title above – CHICAGO TO LONDON BY JET CLIPPER with a stylized depiction of Piccadilly Circus forming the background.   Fine’s name is signed in print on the right side of the poster near the lower corner.  

This vintage original poster is free of tape, pinholes or paper loss and shows light to moderate handling wear including a light crease to the lower right corner and some bumping to the edges mostly along the lower right side.  The colors retain their original vibrancy and the poster displays beautifully.  Basic linen backing (which we can arrange at an additional cost) would have this poster looking near mint.  Overall condition is very good.
