This is a vintage original Atomic Age pictorial cartoon map of the Mason City and Clear Lake, Iowa region of Northcentral Iowa. This is a folding map that folds open to about 21.75” x 17” with the pictorial cartoon map and cover panel covering the entirety of one side. Included are whimsical icons and cartoonish caricatures illustrating special features and points of interest in the region. The cover panel is titled Discover North Iowa’s Business and Vacation Center Mason City and Clear Lake.
Points of interest featured on the map include the Surf Ballroom, McIntosh Woods, Roosevelt Fieldhouse and Stadium, Music Man Bridge and lots more. The left hand side of the map has a logo of Stoyles Printing and we find no indication of the artist.

This vintage original map is folded as issued and in very good condition with modest handling wear and a bit of slight scattered foxing on the verso and cover panel not affecting the map itself. The colors are bold and overall condition is very good. This map would frame up beautifully.
