This is a folded one sheet poster for the 1963 release of the 1958 Columbia Pictures epic war film The Bridge on the River Kwai.  This film was directed by David Lean and starred William Holden, Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins and Sessue Hayakawa among others.   This film was a commercial and critical success becoming the highest-grossing film of 1957 and winning seven Academy Awards including Best Picture.  

This vintage original one sheet poster from the film’s 1963 release is unrestored and shows moderate handling and pinholes on the corners and center edges.  The poster was folded slightly off center and shows some creasing along the fold lines as a result.  There is a shallow notch off the margin on the left edge not affecting the image area and a small bit of separation at the intersection of the center fold lines.   Overall condition is good.
