This powerful and dramatic poster by the artist Frederick Siebel was issued in 1942 shortly after the United States entered WWII. The stark image features a sailor struggling to keep his head above water pointing directly at the viewer with the simple admonition “Someone Talked”. Simple and effective, the poster reminds that loose lips sink ships.
This lightly used poster is a vintage original issued during WWII in the full one sheet size. The poster is folded as issued and shows about an inch of separation on the upper lateral fold line at the edge on the right side. There is a short tear of less than inch without paper loss on the right edge near the upper corner and just below that a small abraded area on the edge not affecting the image area. The poster has no tape or pinholes, the colors remain bold and overall condition is very good.
