This is vintage original lobby card from a c.1940s rerelease of the 1937 Republic Pictures western movie serial Range Defenders which is signed and inscribed by Ray “Crash” Corrigan who starred in the film. The inscription in blue ink reads:
Hello again, To my pal Jim, Best of luck and western wishes. Ray “Crash” Corrigan July 1976
The Three Mesquiteers was an umbrella title used by Republic Pictures for a group of 51 western B-movies released by the studio between 1936 and 1943. Range Defenders was the eighth movie in the serial released in 1937. Ray “Crash” Corrigan had a long career in Hollywood where he earned his nickname Crash for his work as a stuntman.
This lobby card shows moderate handling wear, a bit of dust staining and toning from age and couple small tears on the edges including a tear of about an inch on the top edge which was repaired on verso with a small piece of tape. Two other smaller edge tears also repaired on verso with small pieces of tape. The autograph is bold and in very good shape. Overall condition is very good.
