This is a vintage original 1928 Photoplay edition of London After Midnight by Marie Coolidge-Rask with facsimile dust jacket.
London After Midnight was an American silent mystery horror film directed and co-produced by Tod Browning which starred Lon Chaney, Marceline Day, Conrad Nagel, Henry B. Walthall and Polly Moran among others. The film was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and was written by Waldemar Young, based on the story "The Hypnotist" which was written by Browning. Merritt B. Gerstad was the cinematographer, and the sets were designed by Cedric Gibbons and Arnold Gillespie. London After Midnight is among the lost silent films with the last known copy destroyed in the infamous 1965 MGM vault fire. In 2002 Turner Classic Movies reconstructed the film using film stills and the original script. The verso of the title page shows a 1928 copyright by Grosset & Dunlap and the title page reads:
