This is a vintage original limited edition poster designed by Andy Warhol for the 35th Anniversary of Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Magazine.  In 1985 Playboy Enterprises, Inc. commission Warhol to design the cover for their 35th Anniversary special issue which appeared as the January 1986 “Holiday Anniversary Issue”.   Within that issue of the magazine was an offer for readers to purchase this poster, based on the magazine’s cover, which was printed on demand and available until December 1989.  The bottom of the poster is printed: 

“This Is A Limited Issue, Five Color Hand Printed Serigraph On Archival Paper Published By Special Editions, Ltd. And Mirage Editions, Inc., Santa Monica, California Last Date Of Printing To Be 12/31/89 ©Playboy Enterprises, Inc. 

Warhol’s signature appears in print just below his Pop Art stylized rendering of the familiar Playboy mascot of a silhouetted bunny head wearing a bow tie.  This is a screenrprint poster on heavy paper.  This poster is a vintage original from magazine’s limited edition offering printed in the 1980s and looks pretty well unused with only the slightest of handling and couple light marks on the back not affecting the front side.  Overall condition is excellent.
