This vintage original travel poster was created by the artist Guy Georget and issued by the Spanish State Tourist Department around 1950. For this poster Georget renders a sunny colorful image of a fisherman laden with a bountiful catch walking under a white stucco arch into a Spanish courtyard. A boat seen behind appears to be in the style of the traditional Catalan fishing boats or Barques Catalanes found on the Mediterranean coast of the country. The lower margin indicates this poster was printed in Spain by Lit. Orla-Jerez
This vintage original poster has been professionally backed to linen with some touch up as needed including expert repair to a few short tears and bumping along the right edge and mitigation to some light foxing in places. The colors retain their original vibrancy and the poster displays beautifully. Overall condition is very good.
