This antique original poster was issued as an advertising wall chart used by the Harry Mitchell Company, Merchant Tailors, of Minneapolis, Minnesota to illustrate the latest in men’s fashions for the Fall & Winter season of 1913-1914. Fashionable suits, overcoats, vests and other clothing items for men are illustrated in color and numbered to correspond to a descriptive key printed at the bottom of the poster. The right edge bears a printer’s mark from E. Loeb & Co., Litho of Chicago and New York.
This antique original wall chart poster has been professionally backed to linen. The poster had been folded into quarters resulting in single vertical and horizontal fold line creases which have been expertly mitigated. A tear of a few inches at the top center has been repaired and the poster shows other small touch ups in places and some toning from age. This colorful poster displays beautifully and really captures the men’s fashion styles of the late Progressive Era in America.
