This vintage original WWII poster was created by the noted American illustrator Lawrence Beall Smith and issued in 1942. A group of three young children playing innocently with their toys on what looks like a summer day are interrupted by the sudden emergence of a large ominous shadow in the shape of a Nazi swastika. The poster’s tagline Don’t Let That Shadow Touch Them reminds the viewer whats at stake and adds urgency to the message to Buy War Bonds. This is the hard to find full one sheet size for this poster.
This poster looks pretty well unused, has no tape or pinholes and shows only light handling wear. The poster is folded as issued and retains the original rich colors. Overall condition is very good for this WWII era vintage original.
