This vintage original WWII poster was created by the artist C.C. Beall and issued by the United States Treasury in support of the Victory Loan war bond drive. The Victory Loan Drive was the eighth and final of the WWII war bond drives running from October 29 to November 8, 1945.

For this poster Beall renders an image of a spectral President Franklin D. Roosevelt looming large above a scene of an idealized American family standing together in a cemetery with what looks like the light of new day breaking over the horizon. The poster quotes a little known passage from a 1932 campaign speech Roosevelt made before the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco in September 1932 – In the strength of great hope we must shoulder our common load.

This vintage original poster is folded as issued with just light handling wear including about an inch of separation on the vertical fold at the top and bottom edges. The poster has a single pinhole on each corner and is free of tape, staining, tears or any notable defects. Overall condition is very good.
