This poster featuring a Modernist image of a graceful ballerina was created by Henry Thelander and issued by the National Travel Association of Denmark to promote the 1953 Royal Danish Ballet Festival in Copenhagen. The poster is signed in the image by Thelander in the upper right corner and the lower margin indicates “Printed In Denmark By Albert C. Petersen – 50/53”.
This poster is a vintage original which was never hung and has no tape or pinholes. The poster shows very light handling wear and there is a clean tear on the upper edge of about 2 cm with nothing torn off or missing. Overall condition is very good.
