This is a vintage original elaborate and beautifully illustrated pictorial map of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket published by the Atlantic Card Company of Abington, Massachusetts around 1960.   This map was designed by the prolific pictorial map maker Ernest Dudley Chase and first issued in 1949.   There are at least a few different editions of this map and we believe this map, featuring “President Kennedy’s Summer Home”, is the final edition issued around 1960 or 1961.  The cartouche area of the map reads: 

A Picture Chart of Cap Cod Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Published By Atlantic Card Company North Abington, Mass.  

The lower margin indicates “Designed And Drawn By Clara K. Chase”.  Clara K. Chase was Ernest Dudley Chase’s third wife and her contribution to his work is uncertain but this last edition differs little from the earlier editions credited to Ernest with the exception of the addition of President Kennedy’s Summer Home.   

This vintage original map has been mounted to posterboard and shows slight toning to the borders.  Overall condition is very good.
