This vintage original WWII era poster was created by the artist Valentino Sarra and issued by the United States Office of War Information as OWI Poster No. 6 in 1942. This poster is in the “Loose Lips Sink Ships” genre and features a stark image of a U.S. Navy sailor starring out of a ship’s portal illuminated by a eerie green light and bracketed by text which reads If you talk too much THIS MAN MAY DIE. Sarra’s name appears printed in the lower left corner of the image area.
This vintage original WWII poster looks pretty well unused with no tape or pinholes and only slight handling wear. Overall condition is excellent.
