This is a vintage original British quad movie poster for the 1977 rerelease of the Jamaican independent crime film The Harder They Come.   This film was originally released in 1972 and was directed by Perry Henzell, co-written by Trevor D. Rhone and starred Jimmy Cliff among others. The film was a big success in Jamaica and went on to become a hit internationally largely because of the outstanding reggae soundtrack that featured Jimmy Cliff, Toots and the Maytals, Desmond Decker, Scotty, the Slickers and The Melodians.  The film gave many outside of the Caribbean their first exposure to Reggae music and was said by Los Angeles Times writer Dennis McLellen to have "brought reggae to the world". 

This vintage original British quad poster from the film’s 1977 rerelease is free of tape or pinholes and shows moderate handling wear and a small area of contact surface paper loss to the lower right corner.  The colors are strong and overall condition is very good.
