This poster by Allen Saalburg was produced in 1942 shortly after the United States entered WWII. A battered American flag flaps in the wind against a backdrop of billowing smoke rising in a blue sky. Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address is quoted to add emphasis to the stark tagline to Remember December 7th and the events at Pearl Harbor on that day of infamy.
This iconic vintage original WWII era poster in the half sheet size is folded as issued and looks pretty well unused with no tape or pinholes and only the slightest evidence of any handling. The colors remain vibrant, the poster displays beautifully and overall condition is excellent.
