This vintage original Civil Rights Movement era poster, created by the African American artist Ovid P. Adams, depicts an abstract image of the assassinated Malcolm X as a Jesus figure being taken down off the cross with the title WE REMEMBER MALCOM. Adams created a similar poster memorializing jazz musician Charlie Parker as well as a Black Panthers comic book titled The Adventures of Black Eldridge.
This vintage original photo-offset poster shows just slight handling wear. We locate only one copy at the Center for the Study of Political Graphics in Los Angeles. Overall condition is very good.
