This vintage original poster was issued for an event organized on the campus of the University of Southern California in 1977 to protest the blockade of Cuba and to salute Cuban solidarity with Vietnam and South Africa. This event was held Saturday, July 23rd, 1976 at the Hancock Auditorium on the campus of USC and featured a showing of the Cuban film April in Vietnam in the Year of the Cat as well as the Dafina Dancers and the Zimbabwean speaker Musekiwa Kumbula. The poster has text at the top that reads:

End The Blockade Of Cuba 26 De Julio – A Salute to Cuba’s Solidarity With Vietnam & South Africa

The poster features socialist style artwork which is signed but we can’t quite make out the artist's name. It looks like G. Beyor??? The 26 De Julio date is a reference to the July 26th Movement, the Vanguard Cuban revolutionary organization and political movement headed by Fidel Castro.

This poster is a used vintage original from the 1977 event on the campus of USC. This poster has moderate handling wear and some buckling to the paper at the top as well as few small stains and scattered spots. There is a short tear of about an inch on the bottom edge and the lower right-hand corner is a bit creased at the tip. The paper shows some toning from age most evidence around the edges. Overall condition is good.
