This is a vintage original and rare Iraqi Baathist Party political propaganda poster from the early phase of Iran-Iraq War and the Saddam Hussein era. This poster was obtained by an American working in Iraq during the early 1980s Iran-Iraq War period. The poster depicts a stylized image of Arab warrior on horseback formed by calligraphy against a calligraphy background with Arabic language text at the bottom which roughly translates to “The year we are victorious over our Farsi enemies”, a reference to Iran and the Persian people.
