This charming travel poster for the Gaspé Peninsula region, affectionately known as “the Cradle of French America”, was issued by the Province of Quebec Tourist Bureau in the 1930s. A man leans against a wooden skiff and contemplates the regions rugged sea cliffs as seagulls float in a brilliant sky above. The Gaspé Peninsula claims a population of some 140,000 hardy souls in a land mass bigger then Belgium and is home to some of the world’s last remaining native speakers of the Jèrriais language.
This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed with minor expert touch up as needed including repairs to a couple short tears on the edges. This poster has bold color and displays beautifully.
