This vintage original and striking WWII era poster was issued in the United Kingdom to help recruit women for essential wartime factory work. The artist Philip Zec’s powerful and almost messianic image is dominated by a woman in brown factory smock raising her arms in a style reminiscent of Moses parting the Red Sea. Behind her tanks roll by and the smokestacks of distant factories belch smoke into a sky filled with airplanes flying off to war. The artist’s name appears in the lower right hand corner of the image.

This vintage original and very rare poster was issued folded and has been professionally linen backed with expert touch up to minor imperfections including slight creasing to corner tips. This poster shows slight toning from age and is in very good condition overall.
