This vintage original WWII poster was created by the artist Ralph Iligan and issued by the Office of War Information as OWI Poster No. 5 in 1942. This poster is one in the “loose lips sink ships” genre that sought to remind Americans not to disclose or discuss sensitive wartime information. For this poster, Iligan depicts Axis leaders Mussolini, Tojo and Hitler each cupping a hand behind one ear and listening intently over the title ENEMY EARS ARE LISTENING.
This vintage original poster has one irregular lateral fold and is otherwise near mint with no tape, pinholes or other defects. Overall condition is excellent.
