This vintage original WWII poster created by the artist James Montgomery Flagg was issued by the Office of Economic Stabilization and distributed by the Office of War Information in 1943. Flagg reprises the Uncle Sam image he used to create his iconic “I Want You For U.S. Army” poster issued during WWI. This time Uncle Sam declares “You Can Lick Runway Prices” and outlines the Seven Keys to Victory in a patriotic appeal to all Americans. Flagg’s name is signed in the lower right hand corner of the image.
This vintage original poster is lightly used with moderate handling wear, some toning from age and a pinhole on each upper corner. The poster has a single small less than half inch piece of tape on each corner tip and another small piece of tape at the top center and left center fold line. The colors are strong and the poster displays very well. Overall condition is very good for this WWII era vintage original.
