This Treasury Department program was a huge success that resulted in paperboys selling almost $1.7 billion in War Saving Stamps during the war. This poster depicts and image of a newspaper boy looking admiringly at and shaking hands with an American soldier with text that reads:
Thanks Buddy! Newspaper Boys Have Sold Over 1¼ Billions War Savings Stamps Since Pearl Harbor
The lower margin is printed with a 1944 date and indicates “Official U.S. Treasury Poster”. This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and shows only light handling wear and modest toning from age and a short tear of about an inch on the bottom edge without paper loss. Overall condition is very good.
